Atletico Failed to Win, Griezmann Fretted about Team Sharpness
Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann was anxious as his side failed to win against Qarabag in their Champions League Group C match on Thursday (10/19/2017).
Atletico Madrid failed to conquer the team’s lowest ranked Group C.
In fact, Qarabag played with 10 men in the last 20 minutes after their attacker, Dino Ndlovu, got a second yellow card due to diving.
Griezmann says that Qarabag is a very tough opponent.
“They are strong and we have trouble scoring goals,” Griezmann said after the game.
The Frenchman did not deny that the Los Rojiblancos front row, like himself and Fernando Torres, should work more effectively in front of an opponent’s goal.
“We attackers should be better and find solutions to score more goals,” Griezmann said.
Griezmann’s wits were groundless. Of the three games, they have scored one goal.
Diego Simeone’s troops were scattered in third place Group C under Chelsea and AS Roma.
They must win in three games remaining if they want to qualify for the round of 16 large.
“We will try to win all the remaining games and after that we will see how it will be,” he said.
